Deva

Deva Fortress was for a long time a strategic place on the way crossing the mountains. The fortress was first built in the 13th century. The fortress reached its acme in the 15th century. It was however destroyed by an explosion in the 19th century. Unfortunately little has remained of this once important fortification, however the view from the top of the hill where it is located is grand, covering all neighboring area.
