Targu Mures
Targu Mures, a city located in central Transylvania, was first mentioned in historic deeds in 1332. Despite its dimensions, it is very peaceful and still preserves a provincial atmosphere that proves to be very relaxing for tourists. Among the worthy places to be visited, we can list a few:
- The fortress (15th - 18th century), quite wide and still preserving 7 bastions, restored 40 years ago
- The Catholic Church in baroque style (1728-1759)
- The Reformed Church in gothic style (15th century)
- The Palace of the Culture, a monumental building in secession style (1911-1913)
- Teleki-Bolyai Library, an overwhelming building in empire style (1799-1805)
- Teleki House, in baroque style (1797-1803)
- Apollo Palace (1820)
